We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.

This Policy defines how we use and protect data collected by us in relation to your use of the Web Site and any Services or Systems provided therein.  We will not disclose personal information collected via this website to any third party unless obliged to do so by law or at your request. If you access other websites via links on the Baker's Cottage website they will have their own privacy policies and will not be governed by ours.

What we collect

We collect only such data as is necessary to provide you with the best possible service. If you contact us we will collect your name and contact details including your postal address, email address and contact telephone number. If you make an enquiry about booking Baker's Cottage we will collect data necessary to confirm the details of your booking and to comply with legal requirements including, but not restricted to, the number of guests, their names and, if under 18, ages. If you make a booking using an online booking platform or travel agency such as Airbnb they will also collect personal information some of which they will pass on to us. Please check the Privacy Policy of the relevant agency/platform to see how they will use your data.

Why do we collect the Data?

We ask for personal details from you to enable us to respond to a request from you for information and will only retain these details for as long as is necessary to provide you with your requested service. If you ask to join our mailing list we will use the data you provide to send you details about special offers and any other information relating to Baker's Cottage we think you may find interesting; this may include an occasional newsletter. We will not forward this information to third parties but your data may be maintained for us by a mailing list provider such as Mailchimp. If a provider is used we will inform you.

You have the right to request details of the personal data we hold about you (please use the Contact Us facility to raise your request and we will respond with a full list of any data we hold about you).

We are committed to ensuring that your data is secure.   Details may be retained by the booking agent you use, such as Airbnb, and by a mailing list provider if you sign up to our mailing list. In these instances their privacy and data protection procedures will apply. Any personal information held on paper will be kept securely and only retained for as long as necessary. We do not retain payment details.
